I want to do the same.  It is not possible and it does not make sense.  I have had to do a work around, which is ridiculous, but is better than handing someone your phone.  W got a large tablet and loaded it on there.  Now we use the QB reader with that.  Works well.  IT IS NOT A FIX it is a work around until someone realizes that the app is not a solution and they need take care of the bulk of their customers using QB at their place of business, and having to have a whole "Other system" to simply save the fees or be punished.
