Let me share some information about changing multiple transactions by batch from one payment account to another in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you are using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Accountant and Advanced version, we can use the reclassify tool to save time and make the same change to multiple transactions at once. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon on the top menu. Then, choose Reclassify Transactions.
  2. From the Account types dropdown menu, select Profit and Loss to see income and expense accounts. Or select Balance Sheet to see your asset, liability, and equity accounts.
  3. From the Account list, select the account with the transactions you want to change.
  4. Use these types, class, customer/vendor, and modify filters to filter the list. You can also select Accrual to see all paid and unpaid transactions or Cash to see only paid transactions.
  5. Click Find transactions.
  6. Choose the checkbox for each transaction you want to change.
  7. Tap Reclassify.
  8. Select a new account to move the transactions to from the Change account to dropdown, a new class from Change class to dropdown, or a new location from the Change location to dropdown.
  9. When you’re ready, press Apply.

To learn more about this one, check out this article: Reclassify or move multiple transactions in QuickBooks Online Accountant and Advanced. If you are not using this version, you may upgrade your subscription.

If upgrading is not the best option for your business, you'll want to check for a third-party application that can help you with this one. Check out this link for a list of QuickBooks-compatible apps: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Apps on the left side menu.
  2. Search for the app in the Find apps to streamline your work field.
  3. Look for an app that supports the Batch feature.

Any questions about integrating the app into your Online account should be directed to the app's third-party provider. Also, to assist you in managing your account and growing your business with QBO, I recommend visiting one of our support websites: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few.

Feel free to get back to me here in the Community space if you need further assistance with this matter. You can also post here again if you have any additional payment-related concerns. It'll be my pleasure to cater to them again.
