The real issue with using "shipping" as a line item is that tax is automatically applied. It doesn't make sense to charge the customer sales tax on a shipping charge. You can manually change tax to non tax, but it is a bit clunky to have to do so. It also looks cleaner to have it just under tax at the bottom right hand corner. Similar to the original post (just right under rather than right over, as again tax is not applied to this cost.) Intuit if you're listening please add shipping as a function similar to tax.
