The hours worked per day is based on how you set up the employees pay run defaults, and the pay rates used. Let me guide you how:

 

  1. Click on the Payroll tab.
  2. Click on the employee's name from the list.
  3. Click on Pay Run Defaults.
  4. Under Normally works check what figure is entered in the hours per day.

 

Once verified let us also check the pay rates you have set up.

 

  1. From the same employee's name affected click on Pay Rates.
  2. Locate and click the default pay category of the employee.
  3. Check rates and units set.
  4. Make changes if needed and click on Save.

 

Drop by again in the Community if you have other questions.
