Buy nowCertiport (Intuit's certification testing partner) states on its website that "Intuit QuickBooks Desktop is being retired in August 2022" and, therefore, Certiport is discontinuing testing July 2023.
According to Intuit customer/tech support, only the standalone version is being discontinued but Desktop would continue to be available on a lease basis. This makes sense (if true) but then:
1. Why would Certiport say "Beginning August 1, 2022, Intuit QuickBooks Desktop will be retired"?
2. If the software is not being retired, why would Certiport discontinue testing?
3. Who will provide Desktop certification testing after Certiport discontinues?
4. Has Certiport inadvertently spilled the beans on a decision that Intuit has not announced?
