Hello, elviralandscaping.

Currently, we have an ongoing investigation about the script error upon logging in to Intuit Data Protect (IDP) to backup data online. Our engineering team already working on fixing the issue. I suggest reaching out to our Support Team so you'll be added to the list of affected users.

Script errors are most commonly associated with Internet Explorer. QuickBooks connects to the internet using the browser's settings by default. Let's try clearing out the Internet Explorer (IE) browsing history since we had some success fixing the issue doing this.

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open Internet Explorer.
  3. Select the Tools ⚙ icon.
  4. Click Internet Options from the menu.
  5. Go to the General tab. From the Browsing history, select Delete…
  6. Select the following to delete:
    • Temporary Internet files and website files
    • Cookies and website data
    • History
    • Passwords
  7. Choose Delete.
  8. Close the Internet Options window and Internet Explorer.
  9. Reopen QuickBooks Desktop.

Alternatively, you can utilize the local backup feature. Please refer to this article for a complete guide: Back up your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

I've also added this handy material for future reference: Restore a backup of your company file.

Feel free to add any details below if you need further assistance with Online backup or other QuickBooks concerns. I'll be here to lend a helping hand.
