The way Intuit has structured this user blog is indicitative of how they design their products. There is no continuity to threads posted here so it's difficult to follow a conversation in logical order. But, that's Intuit.

 

So, back to the question, or at least a question, that may be on the table. Some users are finding that the Alt+F4 is not closing the evil login window. That happened to me recently when I moved all of my applications to a new computer after experiencing drive failures on the old. Somehow the Alt+F4 Windows command no longer worked. Here's what works after that though.

First, try Alt+F4. If that fails click on CONTINUE. NEXT.

That should bring up a window that says ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM.

Click on SKIP, then CANCEL.

On my system that closes the bad windows and lets me access QB Desktop 2019.
