Buy nowI screamed it at several people I could reach on the telephone. AND I mean SCREAMED IT. And enunciated very carefully every single word. I had a client whose husband was the primary contact back in 1999 when they FIRST got QuickBooks, even though he's never touched the computer with QB on it. Fast forward to 2020 and because they use Direct Deposit now, the "primary contact" had to login and confirm some information. The email address he used back then doesn't even exist anymore and he NEVER HAD a login in the first place. I tried changing the primary contact. OH, heavens no! You cannot do that! I then tried to create an account for him. That failed, because of the old email address - the company doesn't even exist anymore! I spent 2½ hrs on the phone with various people because otherwise, NO PAYROLL! FINALLY, we were able to do an override, BUT STILL were unable to make HER the primary contact. I've looked for alternatives, but, I loathe Sage/Peachtree even more than I loathe QuickBooks. The rest of them that I looked at, none of them had a desktop option. Clients in rural Iowa are NOT going to go for an online-only option. I've also screamed THAT at QB for years. I have ONE client on QB Online and they screw it up, OMG! It works NOTHING like the desktop edition, it's a nightmare. Deleting something is almost impossible. I am counting the years to retirement and there are just far too many, alas.
