yes, of course, verifying and rebuilding the data was one of the first things I did.  I am having this problem with 3 separate QB files (for 3 companies).  So it is not a file issue.  I have no other QB issues except this, and it mirrors all of the complaints in this thread from the community.  Once you start modified rules, it begins to open each rule progressively slower after the first 5-7.  You then get to the point where it can take 3-5 minutes to open a rule.  As some of the community have suggested, this sounds like some bug where the software is having memory issues.  I don't have hours to spend with support going through all of these non-solutions noted in the community thread.  Multiple people have complained about this, so if there were a common answer, I would think someone would post about it.  It's such an issue, that it could likely force me to move or look for other platforms over QB.  I cannot spend 10x the time working on this as a result, but having specific rules is imperative for account allocations when downloading hundreds of similar vendors.
