That's correct. Just copy the account name of the account you want to keep, then right-click and paste it on the other account you don't want to keep.

 

Once you do that, you'll get this message (This account name is already being used. Would you like to merge this account with the other one?). Click on Yes to merge the accounts.

 

Also, QuickBooks will only allow you to merge two accounts with the same account type. Here's an article for more information about it: Merge list entries in QuickBooks Desktop.
