I'll gladly show you how to locate the payment in QuickBooks Desktop, StacyT1.

To locate the payment, I'd suggest using the Find Transactions option. Before proceeding, I'd recommend updating QuickBooksThis way,  you always have the latest features and fixes.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Company menu and then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. On the Account drop-down menu, click Find transactions in.
  3. From there, you'll be able to filter the transaction.
  4. Enter the necessary details needed, then click Find.

Aside from that, you can also open the Transaction History of the payment. This helps us locate it. Here's how:

  1. Go to Company and then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. From the list, double-click on the Undeposited Funds account to view the transaction.
  3. Hover your mouse to the deposit and then press CTRL + H.
  4. This will display the Transaction History window.
  5. Review the information shown.

Also, one possible reason the transactions are entered or updated is someone might've made these changes. Let's run the Audit Trail report to verify this.

  1. Go to Reports at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Accountant & Taxes.
  3. Select Audit Trail.
  4. Click on Custome Report to personalize the details.
  5. You can also customize the dates on the report's page.
  6. Then, click on Refresh.

Additionally, I've added these articles that'll help you learn more about how the Undeposited Funds account works in QuickBooks.

I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance with your other QuickBooks tasks, StacyT1. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
