Dear Intuit -

We are not upset because you decided to change your business model and software.

No, we are mad because we showed up to work one day and you forced us to change the processes that we use to run our businesses. You never asked us. You never gave us the ability to opt out. Instead, a giant faceless corporation demanded that the peasants will need to change the way they operate, and that's just the way it is. Take it or leave it.

It doesn't matter if we already paid for the software in full. No. Intuit has decided that they can change the software any time they want, even after you've paid for it and setup all your business processes around that software.

Intuit knows best of course. It's for the Internet security. It's for your own good. Think of the children! Think of the hackers!

Thank you, Intuit, oh wise overlord, for telling us how to run our business. We appreciate your wise counsel.

A less wise corporation may have been concerned about engendering an extraordinary amount of ill will amongst it's most loyal customers. But not not Intuit. No, Intuit has done the right and the brave thing. To heck with the customers. They don't know what they want anyway. What those customers REALLY REALLY need is cloud software!! They just don't know it yet. The sooner they figure it out, the better!

So, again, thank you, oh wise band of corporate middle management, for being brave and doing what is best (for you).
