When your client experience error when importing an accountant's changes, they can perform the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. First, copy the file locally (refer to the outlined instructions by my colleague, MadelynC).
  2. Next, create a QuickBooks portable company file.
  3. Resolve the data damage on your company file.

To further assist you with this, I recommend reaching out to our technical support team. They can further investigate the root cause of the issue and help you fix it. Here's how:

  1. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern in the question box. Example: Accountant's copy import error. QBhelp.PNG
  4. Then, select Let's talk and then choose a way to connect.
