That is not the purpose of Intuit wanting us desktop users to sign in.  I have been told that you are moving desktop users to a "subscription" service where we will have to pay an annual subscription fee.  Also if you look at purchasing a new Quickbooks desktop product, "subscription" is all over the box.  Why are you lying about the purpose of us signing in?  You want to know who's out there so you can charge an annual subscription fee.  That's the purpose.  Signing into Intuit does NOTHING for my security.  I've been managing my own security for decades.  I don't use Payroll or any Intuit payment service.  So that explanation does NOT hold water.
