I am working in an accountant's copy in Quickbooks 2019. Last week I kept getting an unrecoverable error when I would try and save a journal entry. I went through all the trouble-shooting steps to update, restart, etc. I even went on our server to make sure the QB data manager was working correctly. Since none of this worked, I contacted support. They told me to do what I had already done and then they proceeded to tell me the file must be bad and to request another copy. Well, I just went back into another client's accountant's copy that I made several adjusting journal entries in a few months ago. When I tried today, I got unrecoverable errors. So, it's an Intuit problem and I hope they get this fixed because these type of issues really eat up your time, especially this time of year.
