Why do I need security from Intuit when I have the desktop version?  With the desktop version, we are responsible for our own security and we like it that way.  It is VERY intrusive of Intuit to insist we log into Intuit when we have a desktop version.  I was just told by an account that Intuit is now going to charge a membership fee for desktop users annually. You won't be able to use the product in a new year until that fee is paid.  And that is the real reason behind the Intuit insistence we log in to Intuit as desktop users.  Is this true?
