Thanks for your feedback, @KevilQuinley,

QuickBooks use in-product pop-ups and ads to help optimize your QuickBooks experience by suggesting new features and program updates.

In the meantime, you can simply turn it off by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Edit menu then Preferences.
  2. Under General, look for Turn off pop-up messages for products and services.
  3. Remove the check mark beside it then click OK.

You can also remove the the check mark for What's New, under the Help menu. See this:

Regarding the new security requirement in the program,  every user type has specific control to the company file, which leads us to add additional security to ensure you are protected. Account specific tasks within the company file, will require admin rights to complete.

We understand your concerns with regards to the convenience of logging in like you normally do before. But this added security is in line with our commitment to protect our customers.

To learn more about this feature, we have an official release so our customers are aware of the changes. See it here: Intuit account – Why now for QuickBooks Desktop?

We want your voice to be heard and be put in action. To log a suggestion to our developers, go to the Help menu and select Send Feedback Online.

If you have other questions, feel free to drop them here. This thread will remain open for your questions or feedback. I'm also here if you need anything else.
