Intuit, you have lost your customer's trust. 

Yes, if anyone has another accounting software option, please let us know.  

Whenever companies do bad stuff like this forcing you to login even when you purchased a desktop, it is time to look for another one.  See, intuit gets arrogant as most companies have already had their business files engrained with QB software that most won't change and suck it up.

I am sure they know well that most non-tech business persons may not know what Alt-F4 does. So, it seems to me they are simply testing out the water, before they move to force people to login!?   They could have easily made the software non-usable unless you have a intuit login.   This is a really SEEDY  act!!  Disappointing!   They may as well put up a big banner to have a smiley face laughing at us as losers.  They are the winners as what can we small businesses do anyway, right!?    

Ok... Alt-F4 does the trick to close the login window.   However, it should have at least ask  and let  users to click "NO" instead of having to use a built-in Windows function keys.  Again.. this is seedy.  

Anyway,  this is what I will have to do now:

1)  start looking, and spread the word to other new-found businesses watching out for that. 

2)  don't want to update QB anymore..  Who knows what they would do in the next release.. they could easily stop you from getting your company file unless you have to sign on online.  

Time to find another software, and do let your friends and family know about what has happened and help them to make a better choice what to buy. 

Unless Intuit did something to restore customers' trust, I won't upgrade any more.
