You say improve security and "customer experience" - just how is creating an account do that?? It doesn't...PERIOD!!!
The reason I am using the DESKTOP version is so that NOBODY including INTUIT has access to any information on me, my data, or customers...that is SECURE!! Not putting information on some server at Intuit that we have no idea who has access to it or what if someone hacks into your servers?? 
This is just another tactic by INTUIT to control users including requiring us to UPGRADE otherwise we lose our Merchant Services and other features that work just fine are blocked!! 
I HATE INTUIT because of the don't care about what we want!! GO AWAY!!
