Your comments solidify my personal policy to talk potential clients OUT of a transition to or from either product.  The best idea seems to be to begin anew at a year end or quarter end, import the longest list, then keep the old product for as long as it takes to reach full satisfaction with data in the new product going forward.  I've not yet read a comment related to a QBD to QBO transition that went well.
