Buy nowI did the support chat with 2 different people yesterday. They both did not help me fix the issue. The first one told me that QB Enterprise doesn't allow importing of inventory items and that the import wizard are not functional and can't be used. Also told me that the INV number posted in this thread wasn't valid and that there is no inquiry into this known bug. I tried to explain to them that an Enterprise solution had to have a way to import data and I was told I was incorrect. So I shut the chat.
The second person told me to use the IIF kit, but I have this inventory list saved as both a CSV and an XML file. I looked for a sample Inventory List in the kit, so I could see how the Inventory IIF sheet should be formatted, but there is not one in the IIF kit, so that didn't seem plausible either, unless someone can send me a blank one with the headers formatted correctly.
I would love to just copy and paste, but there are already a few items in QB under service items and non-inventory items (not sure how QB made that distinction) and I can't delete the existing items, because they are tied to an invoice. So copy and paste would work, but not in large sections.
