If you're referring to your processor, you'll want to use a CPU with a minimum processing speed of 2.4 GHz. This is a minimum system requirement for QuickBooks 2024. For multi-user environments, or for improved performance, a faster multi-core processor is recommended.

In regard to QuickBooks crashing unexpectedly, I'd initially recommend confirming your books are up-to-date with the latest release. If QuickBooks won't stay open for you to do this, you can try troubleshooting with your QuickBooks Tool Hub.

If the problem continues after troubleshooting, your client will want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up their account in a secure environment, conduct further research with them, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
