You're right, phishing, spam, and other types of hoax emails are a huge problem. Your awareness and proactive approach are your best defenses against these scams.

 

It's wise to be cautious with any email asking for personal information. Scams can look very convincing, but there are a few key things to look for that can help you spot them:

 

  • Intuit will never ask for your personal information, like your Social Security number or credit card details, in an email.
  • Links in official Intuit emails will always go to an intuit.com web address.
  • Official emails from Intuit will always come from an address ending in @intuit.com or @e.intuit.com.

 

If you're ever in doubt about an email that claims to be from Intuit, you should report it to our security team. The best way to do this is to forward the email to security@intuit.com. This helps us track and block these scams to protect all our customers.
