Thanks for reply, just so I’m clear, this is a payment made to the taxing authority, not a payment or deposit received.  

When I follow the steps provided, I do not have the account type titled “Sales Tax Payable”, should I select “Sales Tax to Pay”?  When I enter the amount as provided, and select the Sales Tax to Pay account my bank balance goes up but shouldn’t it be going down as it’s a payment.
