You'll need to set up the Connect to PayPal app in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to streamline the reconciliation of your transactions, Christine.
Here's how to get started:
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account, and navigate to Apps, then select Find Apps.
- Search for Connect to PayPal, choose Get app now, and mark the box for the file to install.
- Click Let's do it to authorize Intuit by selecting Give permission.
- Enter the associated PayPal email address, click Next, and if you don’t have an account, follow the prompts to create one. If a new account is created, restart the connection process.
- Log into your PayPal account and authorize the sync by selecting Agree and Connect.
- Once connected, select Return to Intuit to proceed.
- Choose the automatically created PayPal Bank, and click Next.
- Select the sales tax rate for all imported sales transactions and click Next.
- If importing historical transactions, select a start date from which to import, up to 18 months back, and select Done.
Once completed, your PayPal transactions will appear under Bank transactions in QBO and will show up in the For Review tab within 2 hours. The app refreshes every 15-30 minutes.
