To resolve the issue of new companies opening in a new window, please update your app to the latest version. This update should address the problem.

 

Before we proceed, could you please confirm the version of the app you are currently using?

 

Here are the steps to manually update your QuickBooks Online app:

 

  1. Open the QBO desktop app.
  2. In the menu bar, click on File.
  3. Select Check for updates.
  4. Follow the prompts to proceed with the update.

 

If the issue persists after updating the app, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling it.
