There are multiple reasons why only a few entries are randomly assigned to classes after setting up a budget in QuickBooks Online. Here is some detailed information on this matter.
Given that you already created a (subdivided) budget based on the current year but only get a few random entries into classes. It's possible that during the current fiscal year, not all transactions were consistently assigned to classes. If some transactions were not associated with any class, those would not appear classified in your budget view.
To resolve this you can go through your transaction records for the current fiscal year and ensure that all entries are correctly assigned to appropriate classes you can follow these steps:
When configuring your budget, ensure that it is set up to correctly categorize entries. Verify that this setting is correctly implemented, as any misconfiguration may lead to incomplete class entries being displayed. By addressing these issues, you can ensure that your budget accurately reflects all class data for the upcoming fiscal year.
