This is the problem.

You can still consider moving the dialogue boxes that appear on the other side of the screen to where QBDT is operating. The next time you open the software, it will remember where the boxes are placed. 

This does NOT work!  It used to work, but it no longer does.  It doesn't matter if I go to EDIT --> PREFERENCES --> DESKTOP VIEW --> SAVE CURRENT DESKTOP.  It simply does not remember the last placement of the popup.
