ip resolution: we already know there is resolution from the fqdn to the ip because other quickbooks functions work. it's only slow during the banking reconciliation process. however, it's worth mentioning that we are using a hosts file alias to resolve the fqdn b/c there is no dns relationship b/t these the db server and workstation. 

.nds file i will look into this.  

please let me know if you have any other thoughts. again, we don't have this issue in one environment where we use the fqdn but there is dns resolution b/t the assets.
