I've got the steps on how to fix the crashing issue in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), asolano1.

This issue is often caused by Windows firewalls and security settings. QuickBooks Desktop's system requirements change with each new version.

To start, we can download and install most recent version (1.6.0.5) QuickBooks Tools Hub. After that, run QuickBooks File Doctor to check and fix any firewall issues.

Here's how:

1. Open the tool hub and navigate to Company File Issues.

2. Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor. It may take up to one minute for the file doctor to open. If it doesn't open, you can search for QuickBooks Desktop File Doctor and open it manually.

3. In QuickBooks File Doctor, select your company file from the dropdown menu. If you don’t see your file, choose Browse and search to locate it.

4. Choose Check your file and network, then hit Continue.

5. Enter your QuickBooks admin password and click Next.

If you're still experiencing the problem, you can move on to Step 3 in this article to find out how to manually configure the firewall. Set up firewall and security settings for QBDT. This article also includes additional troubleshooting steps for antivirus or firewall settings.

Moreover, you can check this out to learn how you can customize your report in QuickBooks Desktop.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you need more help in managing your company files in QBDT.  I'll be here for further assistance.
