I know how important it is to change the Default status to date, @co-88. Rest assured that our team is doing everything to make your experience easier. Let me share more information about the order of your customers' transactions.

The option to change the default sort order is unavailable to QuickBooks Online. However, we can change the date sort order to your preference.

You can follow these steps to change the default sort order:

  1. Hover over to the Sales menu. Click All Sales.
  2. In the Date field, you can select the specific period you want. Choose your preferred customer if necessary.
  3. Tick the Date dropdown. It is typically displayed as "Most recent" or "Oldest" to sort the transactions in ascending or descending order.

Moreover, we can change the default to other preferences available in QBO. Follow these steps:

  1. Hover over to the Sales menu. Click All Sales.
  2. Click the small Gear icon.
  3. Tick the box of the choices you want to show.
  4. Hit Save as Default.

Additionally, let me share this article to learn how to record payments from your customers: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you still have questions about your transactions. Take care always.
