We appreciate you sharing your observation and bringing this matter to our attention, Marvellou. Let me route you to the best support who can help thoroughly investigate tax codes on your invoices.

We haven't received reports regarding tax code issues on invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To initiate an investigation into this matter, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  3. Select the Search tab.
  4. Click the Contact Us button.
  5. Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? field and click Continue.
  6. Choose a way to connect (Call us/Callback or Start a chat/Chat with us).

Once fixed, you can check out this article to guide you in receiving invoice payments in QBO: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be here in the Community to promptly respond if you have other concerns about managing invoices and sales taxes in QBO. Please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. Have a good one.
