For anyone using QBO and feeling frustrated by the new advanced search functionality.
On the "Search your transactions" page (new layout), hit the gear icon on the right, then check off "Balance" and "Memo".
Now use the search your transactions menu as you formally used the advanced search, search by memo menu (classic layout). Enter the memo keyword in the search your transactions space, then hit the magnifying glass.
All of the formal functionality of the class advanced search by memo will return, with the promised more functionality of the new layout.
