First off, may I know what transaction you're trying to edit? If you're referring to line items on your invoices/estimates, you may be using the new layout experience. It could be the cause of why you can drag the line items when selecting a text. To avoid this from happening, we can switch to the old interface. For visual reference, I've added screenshots below.

However, if you're already in the old layout and experience line items dragging, accumulated cache files in your browser may cause these. To sort this out, We can do some basic troubleshooting steps. Start by opening a private browser or an incognito window on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Based on your browser type, please refer to the keyboard shortcuts below:

• Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: Command + Shift + N

After signing in, go to your line items and select a text to edit. If this resolves the problem, return to your default browser and clear the cache to refresh the page. Alternatively, you can also use other supported browsers.
