Buy nowI'm on QB Plus. The "Swipe" button is gone from the card input screen (just rechecked) and if I do use the magstripe, it reads the number but nothing else. I still have to enter billing/avs. I solved the problem by subscribing to a rival card processor with a standalone terminal, and by manually reconciling the daily deposits. Slightly more effort, but way less frustration, and I can actually capture signatures properly now.
I don't know what is up with Intuit. I have never encountered a vendor that has wanted my money less. With the exception of online invoicing, which is still a nice feature, QB Payments will do none of my credit card processing from now on.
