I have this same issue. Sometime in the las few weeks the QB Data Protect backups stopped because my company file was open. Not only do I work form my home office, but I also remotely access my home PC when I'm on a jobsite. Closing QB every time I walk away is not an option. If it worked before, why can't it work now? This has to be an issue for plenty of people, and I'm sure the software engineers can make it work. With the annual subscription prices, this is extremely frustrating, especially because there was no notice that I'm aware of.
