Hello there, @Pilerman.

We understand the importance of creating backup copies for your company file in QuickBooks Desktop, especially in your current situation. Rest assured, I'm here to help you schedule automatic backups to ensure your file creates a backup file every time you log off from your PC.

When scheduling for automatic backups, ensure to choose the option to Save back up copy automatically when I close my company file every 1 time/s. You can also create a backup schedule for every day of the week.

Additionally, if you're off and on your computer throughout the day, I recommend locking your computer only and avoiding shutting down to prevent data loss while QuickBooks Desktop is open.

Furthermore, you can learn how to restore your backup company file. This file has a .qbb extension at the end of the file name and can be used for any device with QBDT.

Let me know if you have additional concerns about backing up your company file in QuickBooks Desktop. I'm always here to assist you.
