Here are various reasons why the program is freezing:

 

  • Your company name may be too lengthy.
  • Your QBWUSER.INI file may be damaged or missing.
  • There might be corruption on your hard drive.
  • Your QuickBooks Desktop installation or program files may be corrupted.
  • Your Windows operating system may be damaged.

 

In this case, let's run Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. It helps repair common errors. To proceed, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it. 
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
