I understand that you're looking for a patch to make QuickBooks 2020 compatible with Sonoma, Ztm. I'm here to share insights about this.

Apple recently introduced its latest macOS version, named Sonoma. With any new operating system launch brings some compatibility issues for applications developed before the operating system was created. This applies to our very own QuickBooks for Mac.

Intuit has released patches for all supported versions for compatibility. Please make sure customers are on the following releases or later:

  • QuickBooks Mac Plus 2024 R1.1
  • QuickBooks Mac Plus 2023 R5.2
  • QuickBooks Mac Plus 2022 R10.2
  • QuickBooks Mac 2021 R13.3

That being said, the 2020 versions are no longer supported. Also, our engineers are aware of it and are working on possible fixes to address this problem.

In this case, I recommend considering upgrading to a newer version of QuickBooks Desktop that is compatible with Sonoma MacOS. The newer versions often include bug fixes, stability improvements, and support for the latest operating systems. If you're interested to know more about the new features in the recent version, see this link: What's new in QuickBooks Mac Plus 2024.
