You're correct, once your Use account numbers option is enabled, QuickBooks will use the middle dot you're referring to to separate your account numbers and account names.

 

If you'd like to submit feedback about this, you can use the steps in Rasa-LilaM's post to do so. Your feedback's important to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

 

You also have the option of using the workaround mentioned in Angelyn_T's post to turn off your Use account numbers setting. Doing so will remove the middle dot you're referring to.
