I’m surprised there is, so far, no discussion here about QuickBooks abandoning POS. It’s a rather abrupt and disheartening decision by Intuit, both for those who just recently adopted the desktop POS and those who have been using the application for years.
I have a client who, within the last 4 months made a significant investment in QB POS software and equipment that was essentially wasted. 
Not a considerate move by Intuit.
