Hi there, @Amisha2022. I want to ensure you'll be able to print 1099 correctly in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Let me share insights about printing 1099 in QBDT. The following date format 22, 2022, or 202022 is approved by the IRS. They will accept forms with a 4-digit date. In the form, it may look like a 6-digit number but, all red text is invisible to the IRS scanning machines that process these forms so it will only see 2022 printed. That said, this is working as designed. The 1099 processing systems will not read the red text. The printed text is in black ink on red form stock. You can also print your 1099s on Intuit stock or from a third party. For reference, please read this article: Print 1099 and 1096 forms.

If you don't want to print the forms this way, you can either manually fill out the forms, e-file, or get the 1099s provided by Intuit that were optimized for QuickBooks.

Tracking your submitted form is a breeze. To do so, refer to the steps in this article: Where Can I See My Submitted Forms?

If you have any other concerns about printing the 1099 in QBDT, please don't hesitate to post again here. I'm just around the corner to help. Have a good one.
