I appreciate you for dropping by the Community, Davidtaos.

I'll share information about exporting your company files.

There are various ways to get your data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). The first is creating a backup for your company file. However, gaining access to the backup date will need a QuickBooks app to restore your company file. The other way around is to export your data into an Excel file.

You can use the export feature in QuickBooks Desktop to create a copy of your company file. Exporting your company file can be used if you want to access your data on a computer that does not have QuickBooks installed. Or if you create a backup of your data in a different format.

To export your company file in QuickBooks Desktop, follow these steps:

  1. Open QuickBooks and go to the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities and then choose Export.
  3. In the Export window, choose Export all data and then click Next.
  4. Select the location where you want to save the exported file, and then click Save.
  5. Enter a name for the exported file and then click Export.

You can also check out this article for more ways of exporting your data. Please refer under Ways to import and export info in QuickBooksImport and export data in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you decide to subscribe again to QBDT, you can restore your company file by referring to this article: Restore a backup of your company file.
