You need to thoroughly read this thread.  We are small businesses that use desktop QB.  We either don't want to pay the predatory subscription fees to use QBO, or we just don't want our data shared with intuit. We want to open up our desktops, click on QB and start using it. When we open QB, we are hit with a dialog box, that tries to force us to sign in online. We have found workarounds, BUT:

We are asking that we not be asked to sign into Intuit PERMANENTLY, EVER AGAIN.
