I appreciate your response I have been dealing with this forever, it is a massive pain, one of many with quickbooks.  the primary problem being that they are trying to force everyone to a could based product that is not a suitable replacement for quickbooks desktop. 

Mini rant over..  will it really stop doing this if I move the database to a different server?  I just didn't want to add complexity if it might still cause the clients to nag me about it.
