I'm determined to help you restore your file, JDBookkeeping.

Suppressing QuickBooks helps us determine if the issue is the program or your company file.

If you haven't suppressed the application, I'd recommend following these steps:

  1. Press and hold the Ctrl key, then double-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon.
  2. Hold the Ctrl key until you see the No Company Open window unless QuickBooks freezes or gives you an error.
  3. Once done, open or restore the data. Make sure to select the correct file types.

In case the issue persists, I'd recommend checking out these articles to fix the unrecoverable error:

If you're still unable to restore the backup, I encourage contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They're equipped with tools to determine the cause of this.

I've also added these articles that'll help you learn more about the program's latest features and system requirements:

I'd appreciate it if you'll update us about the troubleshooting process. We want to make sure you can work on your books again.
