I appreciate you for doing the suggested troubleshooting steps to fix the crashing issue. Accessing your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is my highest priority. This way, you can get back where you left off. 

 

Since you're still experiencing this hurdle, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support team. They have tools to pull up your account in a secure environment. This way, they can check and investigate this further. They can use their tools to investigate what's causing the crashes, and if needed, report the issue to our engineers. 

 

Here's how to contact them: 

 

  1. In QuickBooks Desktop, press F1.
  2. On the pop-up window, click the Contact Us button.
  3. In the box, we can type something like "R5 update crashing issues" or similar.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Choose how you want to reach us.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available. They can also be reached through our website if you're unable to contact them through QuickBooks.
