I can help you with resolving the error you're having when opening a company file using this user profile, @rjlane.

 

You can run the Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tools Hub. This tool will close any open background processes QuickBooks uses and run a quick repair on your program.

 

Step 1: Download and install the QuickBooks Tools Hub:

 

  1. Close your QBDT. 
  2. Download or get the latest QuickBooks Tool Hub
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the prompts to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

 

Step 2: Run the Quick Fix my Program:

 

  1. Go to your QuickBooks Tools Hub and click the Program Problems.
  2. Select Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.
