@Firebird2600  RE: So, until Intuit releases another update, which may take another month or so, the workaround is to just hold the [Alt] key before opening the company file. Heck, for now, maybe Intuit should release a small patch to disable the “Home Window” from starting up for now, which may resolve a lot of other customer’s issues.

The Home window is also a trigger for crashes on startup that I'm seeing as I work with client files.

Another way to keep the Home window from appearing is to change a preference. Each user should do this as the setting is per user. To change it go to Edit | Preferences | Desktop View | My Preferences. Then un-check the "Show home page when opening a company file" option.
