Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @Keisha3106. I'm here to provide details about the reason why an account is on hold as well as the steps to resolve it. 

 

If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, I highly recommend reaching out to our Customer Care team. This is the best way to check the status and the root cause of the issue. Our phone representatives use specific tools to review the details and guide you throughout the steps to resolve it.

 

On the other hand, if this is a payment account, this means that the transaction is being reviewed. This is to ensure that everything is alright. The process is usually finished within 2 business days. Once done, we'll complete processing the payment.

 

To check the details you can simply log in to your Merchant Account. Here's how: 

 

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center to check the status of the payment. 
  2. You'll see the word Withheld in the Method column if the funds are on hold. You'll receive an email about it any time there's an issue.
  3. The email includes the specific steps to fix any issues. Usually, we ask for more info to complete our review. For example, we may ask you to send us a copy of the original invoice you sent to your customer.

You'll also want to see the merchant service agreement for more information.

 

Just in case you'll need to update the email address on file, sign in to the Merchant Service Center. From there, click the Account tab and then click Account Profile.
